Having held executive leadership roles at Lone Star College System and prior to that, University of Houston System for nearly 20 years made Marshall Schott one of the most capable figure to oversee the academic program development at Sampoerna Schools System. His expertise in STEAM education and global energy workforce has been acknowledged by the National Academies and helped to shape the higher education policy in the U.S.
Mustafa Guvercin has been in school leadership positions more than 17 years. His wealth of experience allowed him to replicate Harmony Public Schools model, which is known with its STEM programs, in Oklahoma and Louisiana. These start-ups have become one of the best schools in their respective States. His expertise in educational leadership, school and curriculum development has helped Mustafa Guvercin to set up remarkable Sampoerna Academy campuses since September 2015.
Manoharan has worked in various educational systems in the region. Having taught as a teacher himself across the K-12 continuum, and later on as a school administrator, he brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Sampoerna Academy School System.
Before joining Sampoerna Academy, Ikbal Guvercin had assumed leadership roles in K-12 American schools and Early Childhood Programs for 15 years. She is a member of Key Communicators Group in Harris County Department of Education. With her European, Asian and American educational background, Ikbal Guvercin is excited to contribute to the success of teaching and learning at Sampoerna Academy.
Debra Jones accepted the offer to join Sampoerna Schools System in July of 2016. Debra Jones comes to us from Texas as a retired public school educator and administrator after 32 years of service. She spent 17 years in the classroom and 15 years as an English Language Arts Coordinator. Debra also spent time as an independent English Language Arts Consultant for 3 years.
Rafael Lindaya is an experienced educator for 20 years now. After graduating with an Education degree, Rafael Lindaya started teaching at one of the international schools in Manila. In 2003, he went to the US and started teaching in the New York City Public School System particularly in the Bronx. He then joined his family in Los Angeles, CA where he served as a middle school teacher of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Straight from the US, he moved to Jakarta to share his various experiences in education.
In 1997 Frida Dwiyanti started her career as a teacher at one of international schools in Surabaya. In 2005 she became an International Baccalaureate workshop leader. Since then, she has been leading numerous workshops around Asia Pacific. Besides being the workshop leader, she has experiences in being the administrator and curriculum coordinator in several number of international schools in Indonesia and once as a Head of School in Malaysia.
Upon completion of her master study, Beatrice has been dedicating her knowledge and skill to teach and guide children. She led Apple Tree Pre-School in Medan, North Sumatra, as the principal for three years. With her passion and commitment in the field of education, Beatrice is now trusted to lead and develop Sampoerna Academy, ICON Campus in BSD City.
Mr Raja spent his entire career, spanning almost 40 years, in the Singapore Education Service. He rose through the ranks to become a school principal – from teacher to HOD to VP and Principal. He was Principal of 2 schools in Singapore ( 1995 to 2006 ). He was presented the National Day Public Administration Award by the President of Singapore.
From July 2008 to June 2016, he was the Principal of Singapore Piaget Academy ( SPA ) in Medan, Indonesia . With his Singapore experience behind him, he led SPA and replicated his Singapore achievements in SPA Medan. The school’s academic achievements in the iPSLE and Cambridge ‘O’ level examinations bear testimony to the success of the school.
With the renaming of the school to Sampoerna Academy Medan, in July 2016, Mr Raja was appointed as Head of Schools, Sampoerna Academy Medan. With his vast experience, he will help the school to reach its full potential in the coming years.
Zeny's presence and teaching service in Medan, Indonesia began since 2004 . She used to be a classroom teacher, coordinator, department head and now positioned as an ELC Principal in Sampoerna Academy Medan.
She was a part of one of the Montessori schools in Manila for numerous years and used to handle and manage students and faculty members as well.
Reynold Hutabarat has joined the Putera Sampoerna Foundation for 8 years since 2009,and grown himself to be an education leader within the system. He had the chance to lead the education and curriculum development department and become the Research and Development Manager for Sampoerna Academy before being assigned to be Principal at the Palembang and Bogor Campus in the past 3 years.
