Sampoerna Academy Officially Opens Its 6th Campus in Surabaya

Surabaya, August 9th 2019 – Future challenges demand better human resource quality and competitiveness. To provide children in Surabaya with the best international quality education, Sampoerna Academy officially opens its sixth campus. In line with Surabaya’s grand mission to become a smart city, Sampoerna Academy Surabaya also aims to facilitate the transformation process of local human resources by equipping them with distinct characters and global competitiveness.

Director of Sampoerna Academy, Dr. Mustafa Guvercin explained, the education world is the frontline of young generation potential development, which is why they must be able to quickly adapt, adjust skills to the future’s needs. “Sampoerna Academy offers various solutions to solve future challenges by integrating technology in classrooms and develop children’s potential in innovation and academic achievement,” said Mustafa.

In Surabaya, Sampoerna Academy Surabaya offers seats at Playgroup, Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and Elementary Level. As of the start of registration in less than six months ago, Sampoerna Academy Surabaya has gotten positive responses and enthusiastic support from parents in Surabaya. This is proven by the fact that more than half of the total capacity is now occupied.

Mustafa added that Sampoerna Academy is known as the fastest growing international-curriculum-based schools to date and the pioneer of the teaching method with emphasis on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics). “The difference of Sampoerna Academy from any other international schools lies in the focus of its learning and teaching processes. The grand opening of Sampoerna Academy Surabaya was joined by Mayor of Surabaya (Dr. Ir. Tri Rismaharini, M.T.), Head of Surabaya Education Agency (Dr. Ikhsan, S.Psi, MM), Mr. Putera Sampoerna and his family members, and Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwana X, the Pakuwon management, and Sampoerna Academy management. such as iPad, Google Chrome book, and smartboard to encourage and optimize an active learning atmosphere.

Also joining the grand opening was Gisella Anastasia is a public figure who has decided to send her child, Gempita, to Sampoerna Academy.
